Who is responsible
LAAP Group (BE0891763461), with its registered office in Turnhout, Belgium, is the controller of the personal data collected through this website and in direct business correspondence: it decides why and how that data is processed. In this notice, “the group” means LAAP Group.
It has no data protection officer: Article 37 of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) does not require one for its activities.

What this website stores in your browser
This website sets no cookies and stores nothing else in your browser: no local or session storage, no databases and no offline storage. Every file a page loads, fonts included, comes from this website itself; no page loads anything from another website. Your browser may keep copies of those files in its own cache, as it does for any website.

Cookies and browser storage, by typeWhat the server keeps when you visit
This website runs on a server the group rents from Netcup, in a data centre in Vienna, Austria.
To send you a page, the server receives your IP address and the details of your request: the page, your type of browser and device, and the time. It uses them only to deliver the page and keeps no record of visits: none of these details is stored once the page has been sent.
The legal basis is the group's legitimate interest in delivering the website to the people who visit it (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR); the group has weighed this interest and found that your interests and rights do not override it, since nothing is kept. The website uses no advertising trackers, no fingerprinting and no analytics.
When you email the group
This website has no contact form: enquiries go by email to hello@laapgroup.com. The group then receives your email address and what you write, such as your name, company, role or telephone number.
Your email is used only to reply to you, to assess whether a business relationship is possible, and to keep a record of the correspondence. It is not used for automated decisions or profiling.
The legal basis is the group's legitimate interest in answering genuine enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, when your enquiry concerns a possible or existing business relationship, the need to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). The group does not ask for or process special categories of personal data (Article 9 GDPR).
Who receives the information
The group never sells, trades or passes on personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
Two service providers process personal data for the group: Netcup, which provides the server this website runs on, and Google, which provides the group's email and receives the emails sent to hello@laapgroup.com. No other service provider has access to personal data collected through this website.
Personal data is disclosed to public authorities only when the law or a binding court order requires it.
How long it is kept
Emails are kept for at most 24 months after your enquiry; the server keeps no record of visits. When a business relationship follows, the data it needs is kept as long as Belgian commercial and tax law requires, generally seven years.
How it is protected
Everything exchanged between your browser and this website is encrypted (HTTPS). Within the group, only the people who need personal data for the purposes above can access it.
If a data breach puts your rights and freedoms at risk, the group reports it to the Belgian Data Protection Authority within 72 hours (Article 33 GDPR) and, where Article 34 GDPR requires it, informs you without undue delay.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and Belgian law, you can ask the group:
- whether it processes personal data about you, and for a copy with the purposes, types of data, recipients, retention periods and your rights (access, Article 15);
- to correct inaccurate data and complete incomplete data without undue delay (rectification, Article 16);
- to delete your data when it is no longer needed or was processed unlawfully, unless the law requires it to be kept (erasure, Article 17);
- to restrict processing while you contest its accuracy or lawfulness, when you need the data for a legal claim, or while your objection is assessed (restriction, Article 18);
- for your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, or to send it to another controller where that is technically possible, when the processing is based on a contract and carried out by automated means (portability, Article 20);
- to stop processing based on its legitimate interest; it then stops unless it has compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests (objection, Article 21).
Email hello@laapgroup.com with “Data protection enquiry” in the subject line, state which right you wish to exercise and give enough information to confirm your identity. The group aims to acknowledge your request within five working days and replies within 30 calendar days. For complex or numerous requests this can be extended by two months; you will be informed if it is.
Complaints to a data protection authority
If you believe the group's processing of your data breaks the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be) or with the data protection authority of the EU country where you live.
